3 reasons intentional people are rethinking their toothpaste

You turn over every item before it goes in your cart, and that shouldn’t stop when you get to oral care. Here’s what to look for when buying your toothpaste.

01

look for the mineral your enamel is made of

Your tooth enamel is made of around 97% hydroxyapatite. To support your enamel health look for a toothpaste that uses premium nano hydroxyapatite from a trusted source.

Not all nHA is the same. It varies by supplier in purity, size and shape. Look for nHA with rod-shaped particles that are nano-sized and uncoated.

Davids Hydroxi is made with nanoXIM by Fluidinova, which is considered the gold standard of nHA for oral care. Europe’s Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) reviewed 10 years of data on nanoXIM and used it as the standard for nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste.

“I really like Davids’ toothpaste. It cleans very nicely and tastes good. My main concern was to purchase an hydroxyapatite product. I felt very fortunate to find such a great toothpaste. I recommend this product.”

02

look for a formula where every ingredient has a job

Read the ingredient list from top to bottom. Many toothpastes add dyes, strong foaming agents and extra sweeteners that are there for looks or to cover up taste.

A clear list with a reason for each ingredient means you know what you’re putting in your mouth twice a day, and why.

We built Hydroxi one decision at a time. It has nano-hydroxyapatite, gentle micro-abrasives, a mild cleanser derived from coconut, birch xylitol and real flavor oils. If an ingredient doesn’t earn its place, it stays out. That’s what we mean by different by design. See the full ingredient list.

“I love using a toothpaste without some of the ingredients that a regular toothpaste has in it. I was surprised the first time I used this toothpaste at how clean my teeth felt. This won’t be my last purchase.”

avoid SLS, sulfates and other harsh detergents

Turn your tube over and look for sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). It’s a synthetic detergent that makes most toothpaste foam. The same ingredient is used in many shampoos and household cleaners.

SLS is very good at stripping away oils. Studies have found it can irritate the soft tissue in your mouth and even cause it to peel in some people. Research has also linked it to more frequent canker sores in people who tend to get them. More foam doesn’t mean a better clean.

Every Hydroxi toothpaste is SLS-free and sulfate-free. We use sodium cocoyl glutamate instead, a gentle cleanser derived from coconut. It makes a softer lather that spreads the formula and lifts away plaque and debris. See every Hydroxi toothpaste.

“My wife is sensitive to the flavors and other things put in toothpaste. This is the FIRST one that she came and told me how much she liked it as this was the first time her mouth didnt burn after using a toothpaste.”
